I hate bed rest!!

So, I haven't been around very much, but just wanted to update you all on what's been going on. I have officially been put off work due to signs and symptoms of pre term labour. The Dr has put my due date at May 24th (took over 45 min. to figure that one out), but I have been having contractions on and off since Monday. They want me on bedrest, which is hard since I have an almost 4 year old, and I have to go see the Dr every week, already. I'm measuring at 35 weeks, which can either mean my dates are WAY off or this baby's gonna be big! I'm working right now on getting my EI benefits sorted out, before I start to get my maternity leave benefits..arrgh! It's all so confusing!! At least my boss was "understanding". Not much she can do about it, but at least she was nice to me! Baby is looking good though, and we'll see how things are going as far as cervix length (which was 50%) next week. Hopefully this baby will stay in long enough to grow some more.

Sorry all, just needed to vent a little!

Thank you! It's just so frustrating, I can't even sweep the floors! All I want to do is finish getting the nursery ready, and I can't even do that!! This sounded like a gos-send last week, but it's gotten old fast. I knew I couldn't work any longer, I'm a cook at a child care center and I also do support in the classrooms, especially the infant rooms. I knew standing and lifting all day would be a no-no, but I didn't expect to still have to lay flat on my back! I'll keep everyone posted on how things are going..hopefully this little one won't come early (or too early, for that matter). Thanks again for the well wishes!

Sorry to hear your on bed rest.  That must really suck.  Especially with a four year old.  I hope you have family that can help you out until you deliver.  Sometimes I feel like I am on bed rest, because that's all I want to do when I get off work : )  Keep us posted and let us know how your doing.  Best of luck.
