period while pregnant?

So I've been hearing a lot lately that it's not possible to have a period while you're pregnant, that if you do get a period you more than likely are miscarrying, or it's just "vaginal bleeeding" or "implantation bleeding". Yet I had an experience that makes me believe you can (and sometimes do) ovulate while pregnant. I was with 2 different men within 2 months of each other, and I got pregnant by both. My daughters were born on the same day, and although one was a lot smaller, I just figured they were fraternal twins til I got a DNA test. Imagine my (and the guy I though was the dad) surprise when we got the results that he was the father of only one baby.

So I wanna know if anyone else had a similar experience, or if anyone knows anything about this "vaginal/implantation bleeding" BS I keep hearing about.
