Rapid Weight Gain

Have a question ladies...With my first, I didn't gain weight rapidly at all, however, this time around, I am 21 weeks and already gained over 12 lbs!! (my prepregnancy weight was 108 lbs) in the last week along, I gained 2 lbs as oppose to one. I find myself EXTREMELY hungry around 9 pm so I grab something to eat...

Can anyone tell me how I should stay healthy because I don't want to gain all that weight?!!

I am trying to stay away from sweets and carbs but holidays JUST passed and I still have lots of leftovers.. Also, I try to walk 2 miles every other day and swim 2 times a week...what else should I do?

Hi! Do you know if those 19 lbs went mostly to your belly or everything else? I see my buttocks are expending :(  I HATE IT! But I am so hungry all the time.....I try to drink plenty of water with lemon in it but i don't think it helps. I suppose to ONLY gain 1 lb a week but I have gained 2 lbs a week so far....that's crazy!!! I don't want to be 150 lbs at 39 weeks.....
With my first, I gained total 35 lbs but I was underweight...
Is your doc worried about your weight gain?

12 pounds is great!!
I have already gained 19. :S
I think you should probably gain more since you were so small to begin with.

Thanks for the advice..I decided to make a green leave salad and eat it when I am hungry at 9 pm...I know it sounds horrible but if I don't eat something at that time, I go nuts! Its not a normal hunger, it feels like I don't have enough air..basically if I don't eat , I will die.  I am so surprised that I can gain so fast even though I don't really eat all that much...and my baby measured smaller on the u/s :( !!

it seems you are doing all you can already, eating healthy and staying active, maybe try not to eat at 9pm but if you have to maybe a piece of fruit.
