Time to get the party started...

Here at L&D and they had a shortage on beds... so Im in what can only be described as a halfway room. Theres two beds and divider curtains. The nurse said I should get moved later in the day to a private room. Im not even hooked up to anything yet... just sitting here on the bed in the "gown" waiting for her to return with a monitor to hook me up to. Luckily she is a nice nurse otherwise Id be a nightmare about this whole thing.

Hubby has passed out in the rocking chair - poor guy was up all night. And Im missing my kids already :-( Played with them both all day yesterday at the playground and even let my five yr old stay up later just because I didnt want to put him to bed yet lol.

Im a little loopy on epidural... Dr broke my water about 2hrs ago. And got the epidural right after. My blood pressure has gotten low though and I had to be on oxygen for a short bit.

Contractions are 1-3mins apart. Thanks for all the well wishes

Well I'm glad to hear that your doc just decided to start the pitocin after all. Now you most likely won't be on here for a while. Pitocin is wicked. Hope all is well!!

Oh! And still not much change yet. Ive gone from a 2cm to maybe a 3cm in four hrs. Ive already predicted that bubs wont come til tomorrow or whenever he starts the pitocin. This little guy is my most stubborn kid yet apparently.

I was put in a private room at 830a. Dr wont start pitocin until tomorrow. Im going to be getting another pill though. The contractions taper off roughly 4 hrs after the pill which is weird. Bubs does not like the contractions either. His hb keeps dropping during them so they have me laying on my left side.

Those who were positive for Group B, the penicillian burns like mad just a heads up. And I'll be getting a little bag of it every 4hrs til delivery.

Still having contractions but as usual they arent doing anything. Because Im still at 2cm the Dr decided to change plans. Instead of pitocin Im getting a pill that they'll put in via my netherregions. After that does its job of "prepping" my cervix I'll be started on the pitocin. Dr said just hollar when ready for either nubane or the epidural. I usually end up getting both due to how my liver processes everything so quickly.
