Claire arrived 24 hours and 8 min after labor started! 7 lbs15 oz, 21 in long, and the first thing she did was cry and breastfeed! She is so alert and I am one proud momma!
Good luck.lots of prayers for you.
Praying for you. Hope all is well. Hang in there. :-)
We're racing against the clock since my water broke nearly 18 hours ago and I started a slight fever
Update:I labored for 12 hours, but had very little progress. I tried the narcotic to ease the pain, but it did nothing. I wanted a natural birth, but I caved at 5 am this morning. I was only 4 cm and when I got the epidural, within an hour I had progressed much faster. The epidural gave my body the ability to relax. This still wasn't fast enough, so they started low dose pitocin at 9 am, when I was 5.5 cm. Now I'm 8 cm and not feeling any pain.
Aww so happy for you! I am hoping for a clear sign of labor like this as well! I'm 39 weeks today and have had no sign of impending labor! Good luck with your natural birth I am hoping for the same! Do you have to have fluids in IV when giving birth or is that only if you are dehydrated? I drink tons of water so I feel like that would be unnessecary for me too. Congratulations!!
Would also love to hear your natural birth story as that is the way I'm planning on going too! All the best :-)
Congrats, we're you doing anything to get things moving? Walking EPO, etc?
Please keep us posted I want to go natural as well would love to hear how it goes for you!!
Everything looks great so far. I'm well hydrated, so I requested to hold off on the iv and fluids until later. Contractions are 3min apart, and pain is manageable. I'm hoping for a natural birth, and I'm 39wk 3 days
Good luck!! Keep us posted.
