No Hospital Bag?

Anyone else just not bothering with packing a bag? I packed with my first and didn't use a thing bc the hospital provided every thing that babe and I needed and then some (I'm delivering at the same hospital). I keep seeing hospital bag posts though and starting to second guess whether or not I should pack one. Of course I'll have my purse with my phone charger, insurance card and license in it though. Anyone else just not seeing the need to pack a bag?

I was so excited to pack my bag! This is my first. I also am not a big fan of hospital gowns so I want to have my own clothes to wear

I live about 15 minutes from the hospital, but work 2 minutes away. I've packed a toiletry bag and a small bag for baby with her take home outfit and a onesie I couldn't NOT bring bc I loved it so much. Hubby keeps telling me I need to pack my bag also, but I just can't bring myself to do it lol. Due in 16 days! Eeek

I carry a bag in my car now for if my water breaks while im out. It has a pair of pants, underwear, maternity pads, socks and a pair of slip on shoes. Last thing i need or want is to be out shopping, at work or at dinner or something and have my water break and ve stuck in wet dirty clothes. A quick trip to the toilets to change will make me feel much better i kbow it.
As for hospital bag i packed bubs nappy bag for if we go visit anyone on the way home from the hospital more so than for the actual hospital. Im yet to pack anything for myself though for hospital as we only live 5 minutes away

I'm not packing a bag (besides purse with charger, etc), everything the baby and I need my hospital provides. I can have my other half grab clothes to come home in for me and baby on the last day.

Yeah, it depends on the curicumstance. My water broke before I went to the hospital for my first, so it wasn't an issue that time.

If your water breaks, you will want a different outfit.

That's not a bad idea to wear the same outfit home. I'm going to take that idea. :)

Thanks for your input ladies. :-)  I as well only live about a block from the hospital so if I need anything my mom can always go get it for me, and as for a going home outfit, I was only in my clothes for a short while with my first so just wore the same outfit home that I came in with since I wore the gowns the whole time. I think I might throw a little something together, but I think it's more so bc I'm nesting and I'm always looking for more to do than out of actual necessity. Lol

My baby bag on the other hand is very packed lol my baby is esamated to be between 8and 11 lbs so we have 2 different sizes of outfits i packed blankets and stuff as well and a cute sweater set my hubbies aunt (shes 93) made for baby

I live next door to the hospital. Still packing what I want. This way my husband doesn't have to keep running over to the house. He has to for our dogs anyway. Basically just making everyone around me life easier. I am a control freak. Plus gives me something to focus on . I've packed it like 5 times... instead of dwelling on how much I want this baby out of my body so I can love on her.

Being that we live 45 Minutes from the hospital I packed a diaper bag but intend on keeping it in my car. I just packed a going home outfit for baby, an outfit for me, nursing bra and some personal hygiene stuff like my contacts case and glasses and extra contacts just in case I would lose one or something! Oh and I also packed a sweatshirt for hubby. I think packing a bag is really up to you. Some people just wear the clothes home that they went to the hospital with. There is no right or wrong :)

I like to have my own things with me. I've already had a baby before but I still don't trust the hospital to have everything I need. I'm packing really light though. I'm not bringing much for the baby, I know they have pretty much everything for him. :)
Don't you at least need to pack your clothes for the ride home? I don't know what your plans were for that. :)
