Pulled muscle or herniated muscle?

Anyone else  pulled a muscle?  Think it happened two/tthree days ago and now it hurts like an SOB.  Was just annoying before and didn't need to do anything.

Been using heating pad and stretching it this time.  Must have happened again when lifting up my son into the bath this morning and pulled it again.

Or could it be a herniated muscle.  Any description on the difference would be awesome.

Thank you.

Thank you for the input.  You confirmed my suspicion.  There is no protrusion So no herniated muscle.  :-)

Guess hubby will have to dish out more back rubs.

Started to question because my cocousin's wife had a similar situation on her third.  She did have one.

Thanks again for your help.

Yes.. My back hurt sooo bad.. I would walk around with a heating pad on.. My hubby would have to rub and massage every night because the pain was terrible.. I had to go on bed rest because 1. My back still continues to hurt and 2. Both of the babies lay on an artery that blocks blood flow to my brain, lungs and rest of body..

As for a herniated muscle, I hope not. You would notice an abnormality. Like a muscle protrusion. If you feel like this is your case and you are in extreme pain, then please go see a doctor. The longer you wait, the longer it'll hurt..

If it is just a pulled muscle all you can do is do stretches and use a heating pad.. Well at least that is what I have been told..

I really hope it is just a pulled muscle.. And that the pain goes away soon.. I know you cannot stop being a mommy.. But maybe there is someone who can help you lift things.. And if you do have to lift something, lift with legs and not with back..
