My baby was head down until now, at 33 weeks he decided to turn head up. Hoping that he will turn back, this is my first and I don't want to have a c section. The doctor said that he can still turn back to the head down ready for birth position, but I was breach myself...

My baby has been head down the whole time and so was my first so it just means that their in the right position for birth, but doesn't mean they're coming anytime soon.

It means baby is on the right position for birth. It means it's not breeched. When babies are born the head comes out 1st. At the beginning of the pregnancy babies are usually head up towards the end they position to head down. So it sounds like your baby is on track! Mine has been head down all pregnancy and Dr said it does not mean baby will come sooner it just Mrs s it's in birth position.

It means that the baby is turned head down in preparation to come out of the birth canal. Head up babies are called breech and are harder to delivery naturally because their legs could get caught coming out. Most doctors aren't comfortable delivering breech babies vaginally so they often opt for a c section. But babies can turn anywhere from 30 weeks until a few hours into labor, but once they are head down they usually stay that way.
