crazy swollen feet...

My feet are more than swollen... They look ridiculous. I am on my feet at work all day and try to put them up at night but it doesn't always help. Is there anything else I can do to try to bring the swelling down? My ankles and feet barely fit into any shoes I own. I don't have any other swelling...

Try two buckets of water, one hot with salts and one cold with ice. The shock to ur feet will not be pleasant but it will shock ur blood and lymphatic system into hopefully draining some fluid. Also, see how high up u can comfortably and safely get ur feet- eg lie flat on the couch and put ur feet on the arms. Compression socks just hurt me, but they work wonders for my mum so I hope they work for u. Are u still exercising? The swimming pool may help too. Good luck

If you have severe swelling in you face and feet, you may want to consult your doctor as it can be signs of high blood pressure and may require special attention. Compression stocking are supposed to help, as well as exercise to increase circulation. I would also make sure that you are not having too many salty foods as that can force you to hold more water in your body.

Ive been using a bucket of ice water for about 10-15 minutes at a time. It isnt comfortable, but it seems to help. And elevate your feet as often as possible. Iknow what you mean... my toes are little sausages and I havent seen my ankle bones in weeks.

Ask your doctor to prescribe you ted socks, there not very attractive but they help when you have to be on your feet most of the day.
