I'm 39 weeks 1 day and I have only felt my baby move twice today (its about 5:30 at night now) I'm getting very concerned! I know he's running out of room but is this normal?

I had the same issue at 38 weeks so of to the hospital i went for a stress test, they hooked me up to monitors and the second they did the baby started goin mental, made a complete liar out of me lol the doc told me that if it happened again to lie down for an hour with a sugary drink or something to eat and count the movements not the kicks as they have very little room to kick at this stage, u should have at least 10 movements in the hour if not call ur doc and get checked, could be baby is just being lazy but better safe than sorry :)

Eat something or drink something really sugary and lay on your left side for at least an hour. You should feel at least ten movements - but you have to remember that the movements may be smaller, not kicks but little rolls or twitches and aren't as noticeable when you are up and around or busy. If you focus and concentrate on counting I'm sure you will notice more. Babies do slow down a little bit toward the end but not alot. Their movements just change and you may be too use to it at this point to notice every little one. A severe reduction in movement after doing kick counts warrants a hospital trip though

I agree with the above post irritate the baby try ice cold water or just move your hand around your stomach gently feeling for body parts. Also movement is not as often this far along babies are to big to put forth the effort. But for piece of mind call your browser ob hotline.

I'm 39w and have had a super active baby but lately she has calmed down a lot. She's dropped so low and gotten so big she's just not able to move as much but if your worried try to irritate baby on purpose to get it moving. If I drink orange juice or ice water and move around a lot and she gets to hopping around.
