a question for people around 13 weeks pregnant. ....

how much weight have u gained so far. im only having 1 baby but have gained 7Ibs and every app is saying I have gained too much!! I have an obvious bump but before I was pregnant I followed weight watchers and a low carb diet as well as working out 4-5 times a week. but now if I want pasta or bread I have it and although I still work out its nothing like I use to do. I just want to know if I really am gaining top much tok quiickly

I'm 14 weeks tomorrow and I've had really bad food aversions and have lost 10 pounds, mind you I'm not so skinny. I'm why you would call "fit but thick" so it hasn't been too bad for my weight but what's more important is to make sure the baby's getting exactly what they need, the weight isn't too important to be worrying about. Everyone's different :)

I have been so sick I've actually lost 15 lbs and I'm 13 weeks. They finally put me on a medication that controls the vomiting though so I'm sure I'll start gaining weight soon.

My doctor told me it was based on my BMI before I was pregnant. Sense I was "healthy" BMI before she didn't care if I gained or loss a few pounds in my first trimester. Starting in your 2nd trimester you should be gaining 1 pound a week. Talk to your doctor. She may be worred

I think you may be right. Give it some time to even out. Some people gain at the start, others lose at the start. Im sure your adjusted diet will allow you to put on weight steadily. Try not to worry, as long as youre eating fresh unprocessed food, you should be fine. Hope the second trimester is a lot more fun than the first, ladies! Im still fighting nausea, warmth and exhaustion. Fingers crossed for better days, lol!

I've only gained 1 pound :( I'm 14w today. I am a little underweight and doc only expects me to gain 20 pounds my whole pregnancy, if I'm lucky. I'm trying very hard to gain but not much is working.

I was 144Ibs before I fell pregnant so a healthy weight and very active. my morning sickness was feeling sick but not being sick. cooking was a really struggle so quick easy food for my partner to cook after work was the option for about 6 weeks. still healthy but more pasta and rice that I use to eat.since finding out I was pregnant I stopped weight watchers and the low fat products purely as I know they are not good for you and I didnt want that going to my baby. maybe its a mix of it all and the decrease in exercise. ive weighed the same for 2 weeks now so maybe it will all level out. at least im only 1Ibs over whats healthy. better than it could be I guess. ;)

At my first Ob appointment I was 169, when I went to Wic I was 166 so I lost 3 pounds, then I went to my 12wk and I'm 171 lol at first I couldn't eat then out the blue I could eat everything. but I also get constipated (tmi) and won't go for days so it contributes to the weight as well. Now that I'm I'm my 2nd trimester I eat but not as much as when I was finally able to in my first..idk I think it depends on your body, try not to gain a lot fast though

Everyone's body is different. I actually lost 3lbs due to morning sickness and have maintained the same weight since. BUT, I'm not a skinny lady so I welcome the weight loss.

I've gained 1-2kg's and told this was within normal range. Were you able to eat during the first 12 weeks? I had trouble in the middle with nausea but only ate things that I knew would stay down. Try to have less pasta. Try to go for potatoes, quinoa and cous cous. Try smaller portions every 2 hours and more protein. I don't follow weigh watchers as I've heard they do sneaky things like add fat in sugar free and add sugar in fat free type products. Make your own food from scratch, avoid sugar (it's hard but once you cut it out completely, you'll see how much better you feel) and also foods that convert into sugar like pasta. You should only be eating 300-350 calories more towards the 2 or 3rd trimester (equivalent of a small pot (125g) of yogurt).

For someone normal weight by 13 weeks anything over 6 pounds is to much.  If your obese anything over 4 is to much (according to healthy went gain). I've gained 6 pounds but my WHT still goes up and down.  You don't need more calories until the send trimester and even then is only about 350 extra.
