Thanks guys. My coworkers are all really supportive and helpful but sometimes it gets so busy. I will speak to my doctor about it at my upcoming appointment
Yes I'm a health care professional as well. And our patients are getting bigger and older. Most of them need assistance moving. Which means it isn't gonna get any easier us mommies. I know it's hard being up front about it because we don't wanna put more work on other coworkers. And some coworkers are not as understanding and willing to compensate for the pregnant employees. My advice is our babies come first!
My ob said not to lift over 30lbs
I work in the ER myself and noticed having lower and pain and I let my direct supervisor know and the lightened the load. Communication is key when working in hospital.
Yes u should be concerned. My advice is never transport a patient alone. Let your coworkers know your pregnant and are trying to take it easy. Take breaks in between, sit down and put your feet up and rest for 10-15 mins. Don't over work yourself. Listen to your body. When your tired, sit down and rest. Also tell your doctor what's going on, he could put u on light duties instead. ~ best wishes ~
Your really not suppose to be lifting more then 25 pounds
