3rd degree tear please help!!

So I had my baby girl on the 10th and I'm suffering from a third degree tear. It hurts so bad, and I feel so horrible that I can't take care of her properly, I'm always needing help. I'm scared to make a bowel movement! How long does the pain last? And when do the stitches go away! Please help!

I had a first degree and it was pretty painful. So I can't imagine what a third degree feels like. But you should get the stool softener. They gave it to me at the hospital. They also gave me a baby diaper full of ice to be put down there and kinda sit on it to make it better and it sure did help a lot. And don't feel bad just relax and focuse on healing faster so you can recover good and then take care of you baby.

I had a second degree tear with  my first and I can't imagine how much worse a third is. Didn't your doctor give you any pain medication? Also you should pick up some stool softener I took that till I was more healed it helps alot and won't hurt so much if you need to go number two. I got it over the counter at the pharmacy.

My gf had two degree tears during your 10th. Said it still hurts and she had her baby two weeks ago. Her first bowel moment was also painful and she said the best way to get through it is hold down on your whole vagina as your pass your stool and push as much as you can, as fast as you can. It will hurt but it's a part of postpartum that needs recovering time to heal. The stitches should not need to come off as they are made to be dissolved into your skin and be healed along with it.
