Pregnancy Complications

Hello my name is Katie and I am currently 13 weeks pregnant.  To start off with I lost my last child at 17 weeks.  I was never really told what the cause of me losing the baby was..The doctors just told me it wasn't anything genetic and that I should be fine with future pregnancies.  Well, I have been experiencing some spotting, but it only occurs when I fist wake up early in the morning then goes away in the late morning and is gone the rest of the day. There is no pain with it.   The spotting isn't bright red, but brownish pink in color.  I am despirate.  I will do anything to keep my baby.  I am wondering where the bleeding is coming from and if I should be concerned.  I have had two ultrasounds already and the baby seems fine, but that is exactly how it was last time.  Could someone please tell me what to do?

Hello

I understand your concern.  I lost our 2nd child at 11 weeks. Had spotting at 10 weeks that just became more and more. We had an u/s too  3 days after the spotting started and they said everything was fine, there was no reason for the bleeding. It does not make it any easier.  3 days later my baby was gone.

My 3rd child I had bright red spotting, about 1-2 tsp, twice a week every week from 11 to 31 weeks. I must have had about 10 u/s and saw the obgyn every week from 11 to 23 so that he could check me. He was worried about and incompenent cervics and we discussed getting stitched. I ended up not needing it and carried to full term.

Make sure your doctor knows your history and if you are not happy with him/her get another one if you can.

Best wishes.

I had some spotting about the 8th week, though I really rested and put my feet up for a few days and all was ok. I had an ultrasound during the spotting and my Dr said it was a slight tare and that everything looked like it would be fine. Her advise was just to take it easy and try not to do to much.

I wish you the best and try not to stress, all will be ok.

It sounds like everything is perfectly fine.  I have heard of people bleeding the whole pregnancy and everything was fine.  If you have had 2 u/s already than your chances of losing are very slim.  It sounds like last time was just a very unlikely unfortunate event and the chances of that happening again are probably slim to none.  I would def.  mention this to your doc and they may wanne keep a closer check on you considering your history.  Good luck and hope all goes well this time!!!  Don't worry yourself sick.  Have faith that it is in God's Hands!!!
