Gallbladder issue

Anyone have experience with Gallbladder issues during pregnancy??

Dr told me over the phone a few weeks ago that it could be gallbladder issues, but highly doubtful and more than likely muskoskeletal...My problem has increased in pain and frequency and is keeping me up at night...just wondering if someone with Gallbladder issues has had similar symptoms before I bug my dr again.

So for a month or so on my right side by my rib cage (kinda underneath my breast but lower) I get this tingling...dr says that due to the twins it s just pressure from my uterus pushing and casuing things to fall asleep...So I let it go...It started getting worse and now painful instead of just tingling....Call nurse says could be gallbladder and talk to dr and says no muskoskeletal. It is now getting pretty darn painful (23 weeks) and the frequency is more frequnt and intense...it is waking me up in the middle of the night....

Just wondering if it is my ever expanding body due to the twins or if there could really be a problem with the gallbladder or not. Thanks for your opinion...tried tylenol...it dulls but does not go away and it comes right back right away...

Hello, I had Gallstones when I was 12, had them removed about a year and a half later and I have to agree with Kazwel. What you're describing doesn't sound like Gall bladder pain. There is not really any tingling with gallstones. For me the pain was right where my zyphoid (sp?) is (where my two ribs cages meet) and went around to my back. As i said there was never any tingling but I also wasn't pregnant at the time so it may vary a bit.

I am sorry, I know how awful the pain is that you're experiencing and I hope you find out what it is asap so that it can be dealt with.

All the best x

Thanks,

Yeah i tried the two ES tylenol and only got duller for 1/2 hour and has not let up since....sigh...

Was it more towards the bottom of your ribs or the top where the two ribs meet?

Hi,
When i was pregnant with my son i had gall stones. They are EXTREMELY painfull
The pain is usually under your ribs and wraps around your side.  tylenol wouldnt touch the pain.
I swear it was worse than labor!!

The attacks would come and go depending on how much fatty foods i would eat.

What you described doesnt sound like gall bladder,  it probley is just you body expanding.

I hope this helped.

Good luck
Kazwel
