Carseats are only to be used front facing when they are ONE YEAR AND 22 lbs. Thats BOTH not one or the other. They have to be one year AND 22 lbs to front face.
As far as the other questions...See your doctor.
My 6 month old is weighing in at 14.14lbs and shes almost 26 inches long.
Eating 2-3 baby foods a day and about5-6 nursing sessions a day.
That should give you a rough estimate.
I would just visit with your doctor if you are REALLY concerned. They are probably going to watch it for a while and then determine if they should be worried about his eating habits and such.
Good Luck
My son is 21 pounds and will be 6 months old on the 28th, he is in the 95th percentile for his weight.
My GP and the midwives I see tell me not to worry, he is exclusively breastfed but and they said they're more concerned about bigger bottle fed babies rather than breastfed babies.
You should definitely go to your doctor if you're concerned.
girl, alex is right over 7 months, and weighs in at 20 lbs....they are not concerned, because although he weights that much, he is not showing as "fat", just chunky, but he is lean and long.....
he has 3(8oz)bottles a day, and eats 1 stage 2 meal for breakfast and lunch, and a stage 3 for dinner. he gets a 1/2 and 1/2 6 oz juice mix before bed.
stop listening to other people....everyone sees alex, and says "oh he doesnt miss a meal".....the other day in hobby lobby i got soooooo fed up with the "fake" manager always saying that(like she's never seen us before), i looked right at her and said "no, but maybe you should!"...and stormed off....he's active like crazy, crawls everywhere, and already pulls himself up on his knees, and if me or chris lays on the floor on our side, alex can actually pull himself up onto his feet...neither of chris' kids are fat or unhealthy, but they are both either average, or slightly bigger than their classmates...
