EXPECTED DUE DATE

Dear doctor,

My doctor told me my expected due date is 7th October 2009 but when i went to the scan was told 28th Oct 2009,therefore my question is, did the scan tell me the exact /right date of delivery... inotherwords is the scan always very accurate?

Thanks for the reply,may be i miscounted the days of my periods and the doctor told me 7th oct 09 according to the date i told her i stopped my periods, i was also estimating the date but all in all let me pray that i dont go beyond 28th Oct 2009.

nothing besides the actual birth will tell you the exact right date of delivery.  it depends on when the scanwas done.  chances are they went by your period and told you 10/7 but dates and ovulation and length of cycle could have been off resulting in your getting pregnant a bit later than expected.  I would say between the 7th and 28th.  You really need to discuss this with your doc because going two weeks past your due date can be dangerous so you may want to start asking for non stress tests around the 21st of oct.  again speak to your doc and figure out why it was changed and how you are measuring.
