... how are the nurseries coming along?

I don't ever seem to have a "rest" in nesting. It seems like I nest the entire pregnancy up until the last moment. Heck, I made DH do the dishes while I was in labor, before heading to the hospital to have our first baby, because I didn't want to come home to dirty dishes in the sink!

So anyway- what are the nursery plans/colors/themes? Have you started? What are you waiting on? And any other little tidbits.

well we got the room cleaned out with all the junk we had in there from when we moved outta our parents house! so the room is clean! We have already picked out the theme of the nursery which is a rock star theme. I have a pic posted on my profile of how it will look. we have to get all the stuff off the internet and they also sell the paint colors on the website too. We have the money in the bank now i just need to order it! We have also finalized his name! It is going to be Jamin Scott (sound out Jaymin). Im so excited!

OMG! My husband wants the rock star set... if we EVER have a boy! LOL! My husband is a musician so that's VERY COOL!!!!!!! I can't wait to see the room!

thanks! my husband is too...he plays the drums and guitar. when i found that set i thought he would flip! he loves it!

We are almost done emptying out his room and then we will start painting.  It is going to be a very very light blue and dark brown.  And I think I want his decor to be stars, but not quite sure yet!!

as i am not going to find out the gender i have no idea on nursery, just gonna buy the furniture and a cream carpet, it is so un motivating buying neutral!!! should i buy the colours for both genders ready??

Melanie- I wouldn't buy them in both genders. Since newborns sleep in the bassinet (or whatever) the first month or two you can wait until they're born to buy whichever colors you want!

Well congrats to everyone on starting on their nurseries. Wish our baby would get to have his own room but he wont. Our son never had his own room either. Hopefully here in a few years when we have our third and final one I will get to decorate something cute for him/her. Can't wait to see pics of all the nurseries.

Well our nursery is painted and we have the furniture. I'm just trying to figure out wall decor. The walls are green and cream. We plan on putting a chair rail up to separate the colors.

And I think the accent color will be PINK. The room has a Shabby Chic feel to it but isn't OVERLY done so. Just very cozy. It's a small room!

well, i had already had plenty of palm tree beach theme decor that i didn't have room for, so we painted the room a beige color with sage trim/chair railing, the only thing i have left to do is get the matress for the crib...my aunt is in the process of making my crib bedding (palm trees w/ monkeys/elephants, etc.) very cute! my husband made our changing table and all of our shelving....i am just so excited...can't wait till baby Stacia gets here!!!!!!

her nursery has a slanted wall on one side so the flat part i just finished painting a light green and the slant will be a light blue. the rest of the room will be light purple. on the green i got sticky butterflies to put on there and on the blue i got sticky clouds to put on there. my mom got 2 (pink and blue) butterflies to hang on the wall and i got 4 (orange green pink and blue) that hang suspended from the ceiling. but still no furnature to go in the room, but our dresser is slightly small so she gets that and i going to strip and stain (with dh help) a dresser from mom and dads thats not being used for our new dresser. the little dresser i stained about 2 years ago in a lighter brown and turns out matches the room very nicely
