I signed up for some free stuff from nestle, and so did some other people I know. I kept expecting it to come, but my friends told me they didnt get their stuff until about a month before their due date. I haven't recieved anything yet.
Its funny that you bring this up because I signed up for a lot of stuff (I'll write a blog or post about it later) and I just got something in the mail Saturday. Now honestly I think I signed up when I was pregnant last June but I remember canceling it. Then I signed up 2 wks ago and got some coupons in the mail. So Im not sure if they never took me off but its a funny how I signed up two wks ago and started getting stuff.
I signed up for a few free things a few months back and I remember they were saying at least 2-4 months for many of the things. Did you sign up for the Enfamil package where you get a few free gifts with it all? I signed up for that one about 2 months ago and haven't gotten mine yet, I know some how did get it about the month they were due or shortly after. They don't want to send any of the "free samples" out too early because there is an expiration date on the formula.
Another thing you can do is ask your dr or midwife about free formula samples, at my first prenatal visit my midwife gave me some free formula samples and kit type thing. She said that Enfamil (and possibly a few others) send them free samples to give out to patents or what not.
Also, you MIGHT get some more free samples at the hospital. When we had my son we got a can of formula, and we even got the left over diapers (what was not used of the open package as we went home). I was even breastfeeding at the time and still got the free sample.
If you want to save money on formula I've recently been told that Sams club has a big container of formula for about $20 that lasts about 2 weeks.
As I recall they do not send much out before you have the baby. Then mostly what they send is coupons, not samples. They don't send the coupons out so early because they have expiration dates and so does the formula. I wouldn't worry yet! ;)
