Pregnancy- Weeks=Months

I was just wondering how everyone counted the weeks to months? I used to count x4 but after reading a few books and looking at different sites online I saw a different timeline?

Its confusing but here is a site I was using with a breakdown-

http://www.baby2see.com/pregnancylength.html

Your First Trimester:
1st Month = Weeks 1,2,3,4
2nd Month = Weeks 5,6,7,8
3rd Month = Weeks 9,10,11,12,13

Your Second Trimester:
4th Month = Wks 14,15,16,17
5th Month = Wks 18,19,20,21
6th Month = Wks 22,23,24,25,26

Your Third Trimester:
7th Month = Wks 27,28,29,30
8th Month = Wks 31,32,33,34,35
9th Month = Wks 36,37,38,39,40

Anyways I was just wodnering how everyone counted the months lol

Yeah, I'm sticking to 4 weeks = 1 month. So being that I'm 20 weeks, to me that means I'm 5 months! :)

Yes I would continue counting the weeks as 4 weeks being 1 month it is much less confusing and I have never heard it mentioned the other way around

I just stick to counting weeks. It makes it hard to tell someone how far along you are, but it's much easier than figuring out the months. I just tell people I'm about halfway there right now to make it less confusing.

You're 5 months not almost 6. Pregnancy is counted by every 4 weeks with your due date being the first day of the 10th month.

I think the reason why people say you are pregnant technically for 10 months is because after 40 weeks you are done the full 9 mths so it would be the 10th month if it was late

The Months still go by 1 month= 4 weeks. But technically You're pregnant for 10 months that is the differance.

Right... I'm very confused too!!! I thought it was the number of weeks divided by 4. SO here I am 20 weeks, thinking I just turned 5 months, and according to this site, I'm a week away from being 6 months!!

Although i have heard women say that they're pregnant for 10 months... not 9. Does that have anything to do with it???
