I really dislike my Doctor and all her receptionist!

With my daughter I loveddddddddddddddddddd my doctor he was young, vibrant, understanding and made me soo comfortable as his patient. However his office is in a hospital and its takes hoursssssssssssssss just to see the nurse before you see the Dr. with my new job its not possible for me to see him. So, i went and found a private OBGYN through my insurance and this has got to be the worse female Doctor I've ever come across..she is very cold and just doesnt seem to care. I have yet to have an ultrasound and im 15 weeks..The receptionist neglected to call my insurance company to see if i had to pay any deductables until the day I came inf or my ultrasound then wanted me to pay this outraegous amount of money which i did not have so they refused to do my ultrasound..I havent seen her since I was 12 weeks and the only thing she has done for me is give me a pap smear and check my baby's heartbeat..I really dislike her, my insurance company, her receptionist. I would really want to change Doctors ughhhhhh

I dislike my family doctor too. I'm from Canada so its hard to just switch doctors, but I lucked out and am going to be seeing an OB earlier than I should be. My doctor was mad and freaked out when he found out, but he has been causing me a great deal of stress throughout which is unhealthy for the baby, so IDC.

Call around and try to see if you can meet other dr's.  I didn't really like the place I was with my last pregnancy so I set up a few apts.  My insurance covers Certified Nursing Midwifes so I decided I liked her the best.  She takes a lot more time with me to let me know what's going on.

With my first (and second pregnancy) they didn't do ultrasounds till 20 weeks.  At 15 weeks all I had was the exam, blood work, and listen to the heartbeat.  They didn't check more with the baby until I was much further along.  Many dr's don't do much before 20 weeks, I've gotten two ultrasounds but that's just because my midwife was willing to do a quick one when we didn't hear the heartbeats.

It's hard to find a good dr, if you can, try looking a little more you might just find one you like!

I know about only seeing your doctor once a month up until a certain point in the pregnancy but if I have yet to have anything checked on as far as my baby goes or as far as this pregnancy then thats a problem...Im 15 weeks and a pap smear is not going to tell me if my baby is developing as it should...I think im just going to end up going back to the Dr who delivered my daughter I will just have to work something out with my job ughhhhh I had hope being that she is a woman

Then change doctors. I'm not sure how far along you are but its pretty common to only see your doctor once a month until 32 weeks. As for ultrasounds go to a private ultrasound clinic and they should be able to give you better pricing. I'm sorry that your doctor is stressing you out I would really suggest finding someone you like.
