This isn't a question... just a suggestion!

Okay ladies, I don't know how many are first time moms, but I wanted to make a suggestion that no one made to me. Number one, JOURNAL AWAY!... write in a journal... write EVERYTHING in a journal. I didn't keep very good track of how I felt and what was happening with my first son and I regret it.

Second suggest: Write letters to the baby. I once read a story of a mom who's daughter hit the teen years and screamed the classic "YOU NEVER LOVED ME!" The mom didn't say a word, but went to her closet and pulled out a shoe box. Inside the shoe box were letters she wrote her daughter when her daughter was in the womb.

Although I wrote letters to my son, I didn't write many and I didn't say EVERYTHING I was feeling, so again be detailed and honest. Even if your child doesn't appreciate them until later in their life, it's still someone neat to have in the baby book.

I love this idea! It gives me something to do until baby arrives and I can actually hold him/her :)

Hahaha my baby book had pages for each month and I put pictures of my son in there... It really is hard to believe how small he was! He was only 16 inches long and 4 lbs 1 oz at birth so you can imagine how insanely small he looks compared to normal babies!

I agree on more belly pictures though! I took them once with my son... I didn't do many or good ones cuz I was embarrassed for some reason and now I regret it. This time I am journaling, letter writing, picture taking and tracking and charting EVERYTHING. I want to be able to look back on it when I am in the TWW with our next child (whenever that may be) and compare it second for second haha!

This is a good idea...last pregnancy I barely have any pics of myself when I was pregnant.  I definitely want to take more pics this time than I did last.   Here's another idea...when the baby is born, take pics every month when they turn 1 mo, 2 mo, etc.  I used to make a sign that read whatever age my son was and put it in the picture with him.  It worked really well until he was at the grabby stage when he wanted to grab the paper and try to eat it ... LOL!!!  Anyway..it's a great way to chronicle your child's growth..it's easy to forget how little they were and then you turn around one day and you realize they are almost three?!?!?!?  Sniff sniff.....  Anyway...there's my two cents...

That is a very good idea! I think the memories and them knowing how much you loved them before they officially arrived will become so important to them. As stated it may not be important to them when they are young but as they grow and become adults and reflect back those thoughts will be priceless.

Thats a very good idea! I have been taking weekly belly shots since 5 weeks, and kept all my pee tests (lol) and that would be the perfect place to put them!

I want to add, if you write a journal try not to loose it!  I did that with my first pregnancy, I actually did a blog, and had weekly belly shots, etc.  Needless to say it was removed because I didn't log in with in the correct time frame :(  I like the letters idea!
