3 1/2 wks until appt

I'm 12 wks today, and called to set up an appt. with my obgyn for a prenatal visit, my first, other than an ultrasound I had at 7 wk 1 day. Crazy thing is that the earliest they could get me an appt is April 23rd, which I'll be 15 wk 5 days.   Has anyone else been put out that far for a doctors visit??

Same here. Have two very healthy girls, 8 and 10, and this will be number three. I'm not stressed about it either. I had an ultrasound at 7 wks, so I seen the strong heartbeat, and seen the tiny baby, and it was moving all over. So that helps.

I'm almost 11 weeks and am STILL wrestling Tricare to be seen even the first time. They're telling me it could be another 3-4 weeks before they can squeeze me in. I sure hope all is well with my little baby in there.  Luckily this is my third, so I'm not too stressed out.

I agree, you should be going every four weeks. However.. if its a doctor that you have experience with and trust.. that's very important too. Maybe its just a matter of circumstance. Booked until the 23rd he better be amazing!!

No. Its not.  But this is th ob that I had with both of my previous pregnancies. A very very good doctor, and the receptionist just booked me the earliest opening he had.

Um I might look in to a new ob because being that you are pregnant good prenatal care is crucial to a successful healthy pregnancy they should not be putting you off that long!  They need to do tests and basically be monitoring your progress more closely.  Was this the same place that did ur 7 wk ultrasound because if so they should have scheduled u a follow up appt same day in the office for 12 weeks!  At this point they should be seeing you once a month no exceptions
