For me, my water broke after I was in labor. I went to the bathroom and peed then went back to the bed, and once I laid down I felt almost like a pop in my stomach and a release of fluids. The contractions got super intense after that too.

That being said, the first sign of my water breaking was feeling like I had to pee really bad. So this could be it for you. Good luck!

I wouldn't be in a hurry for your water to break. For most people it doesn't break until after labor has started. Mine broke before I even had a contraction, and when I was at the hospital my Dr said if I didn't start progressing on my own soon, she'd have to induce with pitocin because one the water breaks, there's a chance of infection. Not what I wanted to hear, because I was trying to avoid medications. Luckily, walking helped and I had the natural birth I was hoping for.
