I don't think the doc will pressure u. During my 2 previous pregnancies the doc are not present when the nurses bring the baby to be feed. N they always bring bottles incase u don't want to breastfeed. It's really ur decision. They just recommend that the 1st feed is breast feed for the colostrum since it helps the baby fight infections. But it really up to u.
I'm the same! I want to pump and then use the bottle to feed the baby my breastmilk. It's not wrong at all ☺️
You'll just have to stimulate your breast a little more often to make sure the milk comes in properly.
I plan on breastfeeding for the first few weeks but then pumping and bottle feeding.
Just make sure you pump as often as you feed. So if you are giving the baby a bottle every 2 hours pump as soon as the baby is done eating. To get your milk to come in I would pump every hour and half to get it going.
If you want to exclusively pump, go for it! There's a ton of resources for EPing on the internet. Be upfront and clear with the hospital doctors and nurses that exclusive pumping is your plan, and they should support you.
