No family support but trying to be excited.....help

So I just found out my baby's gender and my friends are going crazy about planning a baby shower however my family won't attend it because I am not married and they thunk I should be married before having the baby I wanna be happy and enjoy the birth of my first child but it's a little hard when I have no family support. Any advice on what I should do or how to deal with this.

Sometimes we have to make ourselves a family of people who love, support and respect us because not all of us are born into a blood family that does. Let your friends throw you a shower and enjoy it!

Sorry to hear :(. I would definitely allow your friends to throw you a shower and make the best of it! Your family may possibly cone around once that see that baby's face. Only time will tell (unfortunately!) . Good luck!
