So many inductions

So many ladies on here getting induced before 40 weeks, are these for medical reasons? My doctor won't even consider inducing until it goes past 41 weeks.  In my Birthing class they were talking about how inducing can be more painful and potentially cause complications. I'm not trying to judge just curious.

Medical reason as well. I have gestational diabetes so they don't want me going any further than 39 weeks. I guess that's fairly common with gd.

Medical reason for me.  I am getting induced at 39w because the pregnancy is putting strain on my kidneys and damaging them. I had kidney trauma about 10yrs ago that has already weakened them.  Before the blood work showed the strain a couple weeks ago, my doctor was not going to induce until 41w.

No no medical reasons for me. Just baby is big and don't want for the baby to get bigger. I'll get enduce at 39 which is already full term. Had 2 other inductions at 37 for medical reasons and no they were not more painful. Well one wa more then the other but the last one was so easy barely any pain at all. And I prefer for the baby to not get any bigger as I am a small person. My doc recommended it and I agree with him.

My dr is allowing me to be induced at 39 weeks and 1 day because I have been out of work for 3 weeks because I pulled a ligament in my rib, so I'm tired of sitting and waiting for my princess to be here. I'm going in tonight for the induction.
