C section cancelled :(

If you want to judge and say I'm dumb for wanting a c section then you can leave now. My baby has been breech for a while now and was scheduled to have c section 5 days before my due date on october 18. I was a bit nervous but excited that I would finally get to meet her. I've been so uncomfortable and in pain bc she hasn't really dropped yet. Go in for an ultrasound yesterday and she is now head down. I'm devastated bc I was so looking forward to finally having her here and not being in anymore pain, not to mention I way planning on having my tubes tied. Those options have all gone out the window  :( have any of you ladies had success at home with trying to start labor on your own?

Finally got the call to go in. :) 51 hours of waiting until I got the call, and it will be 54 hours of waiting by the time I get there. I'm having a girl. I am getting so uncomfortable, mostly because I'm so little, I'm under 5 ft tall, and I have a small midsection, so it's really difficult for comfort. But hopefully you get to have your baby soon too!

It's so hard when we prepare for one type of birth and that option is taken away from us. Harder to deal with when we're all emotional from the pregnancy hormones too. I had planned a home birth with pool but because my boy has a kidney problem and needs a paediatrician at birth. After planing home birth for 34 weeks it's been hard to get my head around being in hospital as from previous bad experiences I tend to panic in a hospital environment. I'm 38 weeks and to encourage labour my doctor has suggested lots of sex, lots of activity (I've been given exercises), raspberry leaf tea and make sure I keep my stools loose (so baby has as much room as possible).

In my family and culture their is a few thing we use to help start labor and speed it up.
They are all natural and have proven effective many many time
I must warn you only do it if your sure your ready for labor and prepared to head to the hospital
This summer my cousin a ftm did it and she had her daughter threw a completely natural birth in less then 4 hours

To start laborn eat fresh pineapple and drink hibiscus tea in Spanish it's called agua de Jamaica
Also cumin tea will start and speed up labor
Cumin is a spice all you do it boil it and drink it as warm as you can
In Spanish it's called comino
Once your labor starts make another cup of tea and head to the hospital drink the second glass in the hospital as warm as you can
Like I said it should speed up labor

Good luck and I hope this was helpful

I think everyone is different. I've had a few friends have them and they were just fine. Recovery was obviously a little longer but they had nothing bad to say about the experience.

Busy busy place! Hope you're not too uncomfortable! I'm feeling like I can barely breathe and getting so much pressure down there it's hard to walk. I can't imagine going that much longer! But I'm terrified of being induced again! Are you expecting a boy or girl?

I hope so too. I have now been waiting 24 hours for a bed to open up.. I'm so annoyed with the waiting game. I hope you get to meet your little one soon too.

I totally understand You, this is my second pregnancy and I try to plan like every single detail and such a disturbance is quite devastating. I can only say that rasberry leaf tea and sex helps to start labour, my experience. Idk but maybe to get over this stress about unknown You should try talking to your little wonder, say its gonna be allright, baby feels our feelings. :) Good luck!

It's ok, I'm just on hold for a bed. Hopefully I can hear I got a bed within the next 3 or 4 hours. I have already been waiting 16 and a half hours.

The most effective way that might get you  to start labor, is sex. Like JadeD90, I have also heard about castor oil, and raspberry leaf tea(capsules as well). I would be careful with castor oil, as it is known to cause diaherra, in some women. I have also heard about evening primrose capsules, you can either take them orally  or inserted them vaginally.
I would recommend you to talk to your doctor, if it is OK to take any of these recommendations. Just to be on the safe side.
I wish you the best luck!

I know I am disappointed too. I was scheduled to be induced last night (I'm due the 5th) and as I pulled up to the hospital, they called and all the beds were full. I don't even know when I can have my baby now. :( it's heartbreaking when you have a plan and it doesn't go according to that plan.

I don't think your dumb at all! I think I'd be just as disappointed as you in all honesty :( it's the comfort in knowing exactly how the birth will go and when, (not to mention your plan to have your tubes tied going down the loo).. I don't blame you.

But Iv heard raspberry leaf tea is good for getting things going, caster oil (not very nice tho), keeping active and sex. Obviously nothing has been proven to work but I hope you don't have to wait long since your in so much discomfort :( - when are you due?
