Trouble sleeping at nights

Hello everyone,

I am 35 weeks pregnant and I been having trouble sleeping at nights. I have a pregnancy pillow that wraps around me, but get gets too uncomfortable to sleep on one side all of the time. I can't sleep on my right side because that is super uncomfortable and my doctor told me not to sleep on my back to much. So I was wondering if anyone have any advice for me to help me sleep at nights.

I wonder if exercise has something to do with it sometimes.  I don't exercise a huge amount but am quite active and do just about everything I did before getting pregnant.  I'm 36w and sleep pretty darn well, waking up maybe once because of a foot cramp or not at all.  Just this last Friday night, I got 10-11hrs. It was lovely, and I'll be a bit sad when baby comes and takes it away forever... ;-)

Mattress quality has a lot to do with too, I think.  I agree with the above comment.  You could see about getting a topper of some kind to help make sleeping on your side more comfortable.

I have trouble sleeping too. Though getting a foam topper to make my bed softer definitely helped with being able to sleep on my side.

Mags242001, the reason you are so well rested is coz you do lots of exercise. So of us like me quit the gym with our first attempt. I regret that decision. I can't exercise now as everything hurts like crazy. I push myself to do walks but I get back home feeling like I was ran over by a bus. I tried the pillows everywhere it works for a while for me then I'm back to the starting point no sleep...

Idk what it is maybe all the pillows I use or maybe all the exercise I do while pregnant but I have never slept better. So comfortable that I have problems getting out of bed. I wake up so rested n sometime I just stay in bed cuz it's so comfy. I have never slept so many hours. Then I wake up n head to the gym.

I don't think there is any comfortable position to sleep for a long period of time. I'm 35 weeks and haven't slept good for the past month. Just one of the lovely symptoms of pregnancy that we must go through lol

Put 3 pillows behind ur head n pillows all around u. On ur sides n one under ur feet like a square made of pillows. N u r in the middle. Then put one leg on top of the side pillows so if u turn u have one on each side n it holds u up. I sleep awesome with that. The most I've slept ever.

When I feel like I just need to sleep on my back, I will use a pillow to lift up my side so I'm not completely flat. But I do try to spend most of the night on my left side.
