should I be worried by my husband's reaction?

I found out 2 days ago that I'm due to have my first baby on Oct 23rd: 5 and a half years into a generally very happy marriage. We only started 'trying' 2 months ago so obviously I was thrilled and couldn't wait to share the news with my other half. He was very sweet and positive about the news, but he has barely mentioned it since and, rather than looking excited, he seems to be avoiding the subject. We have agreed not to tell even our closest family until 12 weeks. In the meantime I feel like I'm the only one enjoying this secret. Anyone else had not-ideal reactions from their men?

Firstly I want to congratulate you Hun, so happy for you and it happened so quick! And as your keeping shhhhhh, your secret is safe with us :)

secondly, I am so sorry you're feeling like this, unfortunately for us we become mothers the moment we get a positive test, men become fathers when the baby is here. If you husband is like my partner then it won't sink in until either you start showing/the scan/ or around the time he can feel the kicks. I'm advice would be to talk to him, try and remember that us pregnant ladies tend to get emotional, in fact my partner commented on my mood yesterday, ha.
Again well done to you x
