Daddy Duties

How important is it to you women that daddy attends prenatal appointments and is around you while your pregnant? The father of my unborn child doesn't really like me around a lot. I have yet to persuade him to come to any of my doctors appointments. I'm only two months but I made a statement today that, "The baby is not even going to recognize your voice!" He doesn't act as if it's hit him that I'm really pregnant. & I really need his support going through this pregnancy. But we are only together maybe 8-10 days out of the month.

My partner works night and sleeps through the day so I only ask if he comes to scans or if it's during school holidays (as he's off then) and then later on when I can't drive because I can't fit behind the steering wheel :D (so about the summer) then he has to come as he needs to drive. Midwife appointments are boring a lot of the time. M:how are you doing? Me: yeah I'm great. Ha but yeah take this into account a woman becomes a mother the moment she finds out she's pregnant a man becomes a father when the baby has been born. X

Are you together? Like partners? I guess you cant really force it on him to attend, it depends if he wants to be apart of your childs life or not. The decision is in his hands really, if not then its not worth the stress it might cause you especially so early in the pregnancy. You may just need to let it slide
