update from stresstest and doc today

hey guys, i went to the doc today and he said that my cervix still hasnt softened. boooo. he sent me for a non stresstest at the hospital, and everything turned out good. apparently i was having consistant contractions the whole time i was hooked up to the machine, and i couldnt feel them. so the nurse phoned my doc... and he said to make me an appoinment for the soonest induction. well, september is suppose to be a record birth month in my city... and it shows. my induction date isnt until.... NEXT THURSDAY!  i almost cried when she told me. they have me as an alternate for next tueday, but chances are pretty slim that i'll get in then. its not the fact that i have to wait another week to see my baby, its because the doctor thinks this baby may already be about 9lbs... by next week, its gonna be the size of a toddler!!!! lol  i am PETRIFIED!  my daughter was 9lbs 1oz and we werent expecting her to be that big... what if my baby is 12 pounds?? OMG, i really dont want a c-section.  i need to deliver this baby naturally... what can i do?
im also scared about my vericose veins "downthere"... with a bigger baby, theres more pressure, with more pressure theres a better chance that a vein could burst. agh!!  help

i hope you have your real strong contractions before that day! i think most of us are in the same boat. My baby also measured big at 37 weeks, so they are only going to  wait until 23/09 just before my due date to see if labor comes naturally, if not and head not down yet will consider c-section!! so expecting my baby next week in all cases... unless they decide something else..

another week it seams so long it the samehere our hospital is small and expecting an extra 2000 birth here this year i blame it all on the new year lol im so scared also on monday my baby was messuring 9 lb 10 oz i know it is only a estamate so i may me smaller it face up so i would say im in for a long day sorry enough about me at least you know you only have a week to go 8 days at the most just try everything you can think of to start labour and as you are having contractions it could happen at any monent keep us posted

i feel for you, just walk like crazy for 15-20 minutes then elevate your legs and do this on and off all day, thats the advice a nurse gave me to start labor and what im gonna do religiously starting tomorrow~!
