Chantal and Jesse are headed to the hospital!

Chantal got a call this morning. They might have a liver for Jesse so she's over at the hospital while they do testing to see if it's a match. I'll update when I hear from her. Prayers for Chantal and Jesse!!!!!!!!!

Also, the nurse at the hospital slipped up and said it was a girl (not sure why I told you boy Nicole...my mind was everywhere yesterday! sorry!) and she was 3 years old. It also slipped out where they were from and I googled it and found the story and I was in tears.  She drowned a week ago and passed away on tuesday. I'm pretty sure her organs have gone to someone who needed them more than Jesse does right now. I feel for the family right now. I cannot even imagine!!

Thanks Nicole for updating! We were sent home after 4 hours of waiting, they had an IV in Jesse and took 9mLs of blood (which was traumatic for him because they had to get from 3 different places) only to be told we were going home. The liver they were going to use, was too fatty for the doctor's liking and did not want to use it for Jesse. God does everything for a reason. Since I cannot donate (unless an absolute emergency) my brother-in-law is being worked up. He could donate if he had to tomorrow, but he has one last test that will determine if it's safe enough to go through with it. We should know in the next week or two and I pray he is a good match for Jesse and we can go into this calmly and ready for it. Although you can never really be ready for major surgery. I can't believe Jesse is just about 10 months! Ladies, where does the time go??? I hope you all are doing well and that those little ones are doing well. Kisses and hugs to all!!

Poor Jesse! I hope they find a match soon! It was nice of you to update for them. I just happened to see your post as im not a September mommy. I have prayed many nights and thought of them so often. I pray they get some good news soon:~)

Well the liver ended up not working out. Poor little guy had to get poked and proded before they could figure that out. It's a sad story all around as there was a family that lost their little boy yesterday. I hope they ended up being able to donate his organs elsewhere.
