DS won't nap!

Hi everyone!

I hope all your LO's are doing well...my DS (almost 9 weeks) has suddenly stopped napping for more than 20-30 minutes at a time.  He is grumpy most of the day because of it, though sleeping well at night.  Anyone else having this problem?  Any tips?

OMG I have the same problem with Owen, I think it has to do with their growth spurts, when he sleeps alot during the day then he's growing or something like that.  Because as soon as he started taking more in his bottle, the longer he would want to nap.  Now I know that's different with each baby and don't get me wrong, I has been difficult.  But it I will get better.  Owen is now laying down taking a nap (thank god) and I'm really hoping that he wont be up and fussy tonight like he's been the past few days.

UPDATE, DS is now napping!  Just as suddenly as it stopped, it started again.   I look for signs of sleepiness and snuggle him on his side facing me with a pacifier, and he will sleep like that for up to 2 hrs...Mommy is not getting much done but happy baby=happy mommy!

I don't think you've done anything.  My ped assures me that out babes are still to young to fall into the spoiled category - esp. yours bc Trinity is 2 months younger than Cash.  Babes have their own personality, and I have found that Cash goes through different stages.  We went through a colicy/fussy stage until about 3 months - he was the same way - needed to be held 24/7, so just give her time.  She may just need extra reassurance that you are there and she is safe.  I wish there was a cure all to all of our problems, (napping, entertaining, etc.), but God makes 'em all individuals! LOL!

Im glad im not alone, Lil Ms Trinity is the same way, and she is supper cranky, the OTHER problem i have with her is i beleive she is supper spoiled.  If she is awake and i put her down she cries, or if i put her in the swing or bouncer she cries, if you pick her up and hold her she is fine, I cant get anything done bcuz she wont sit still and entertain herself, i thought babies did that.  What have i done to this child.

Zac is the same only sleeping 30/45 mins at a time but sleep in his crib at night, so i have been putting him in his crib during the day with the blinds closed so it nice and dark and no noise. I have his monitor on so i can hear him when hes up stairs, now he has lovely sleeps.

Same here! He won't nap very long, no more than 30 min, but he's cranky because he's tired. I had been letting him nap in the living room with me (in his swing, bouncer, or wherever he happened to fall asleep) but I've started rocking him to sleep when he gets cranky and then laying him on our bed and snuggling him up and he'll sleep for an hr or 2 at a time. But only once a day.
