Had my ultrasound and appt. today....bedrest...ugh!

So today I saw my midwife, had to have some blood drawn I think to check my glucose. Hopefully the meds won't mess up the reading. I am 29w 1d and measuring 29w. Right on time finally. HB is still between 140-150. Everything seemed fine with the baby.
Than I went to see the OB for my 3D/4D ultrasound and to check my cervix. Okay....I was completely bummed about the u/s!! It was not what I expected and nothing like when I had one with my son. BUT it's okay. They only charged me 85 bucks for the entire appt. Me and my hormonal self are over it. I didn't get any of the 3D/4D pics...just one awful reg. 2D photo. Actually, baby was not cooperating whatsoever! The baby had his (I am just going to say he/his because it's easier) arm behind his head the entire time and wouldn't move it!!! lol. So it was very hard to get a clear face shot because of that. The baby was squirming and kicking but wouldn't not move that arm. Jeremiah did the same thing when I had my ultrasound with him, but I was still able to get great shots. They are definitely siblings!!! haha

Anyway, the good news, baby is weighing in at just about 3lbs already!!! The tech and OB said the baby was pretty big already and I should just watch what I eat. The weird thing is I have only gained 1 pound in the last 3-4 weeks. Not bad for laying around and doing nothing. I guess I just make big babies. And they took all the measurments and baby is perfectly healthy! I am so thankful. Baby is still head down but sunny side up. Hopefully baby will turn in time and be face down.
Bad news...I am officially on strict bedrest!! Ugh. Still taking my meds every 4 hours as well. She checked my cervix and it didn't change too much but she is super concerned and just wants me to get to 36 weeks. I am now 1 1/2 cm dilated(so a half more dilated, not much, but a slight change), super soft cervix and 80% effaced. yikes. Hubby has to move our bed downstairs in the living room now because I am not allowed to do anything but go to the bathroom, which is on the 1st floor. I think my mom is going to move in with us starting this monday or next. I feel so terrible and now I really can't do anything for Jeremiah. =( I'm already going insane again. How do you mama's who have little ones already go on bedrest and not do anything?!? But I really want this baby to stay put until Sept 1st....that's all...just Sept. 1st!!!

Aww..sorry about being stuck on bedrest.I can totally relate! After 1 month on strict bedrest and one month on moderate..I thought I would go nuts! I am glad baby is doing well, though! Please comply with your midwife's orders! We don't want your little one making her (I think its a girl ~smile~) appearance too soon!

I know...how can you not go nuts!? lol. I'm just happy baby is healthy and big now, now I will just focus on doing nothing and keeping the baby in there until sept.  If it is a girl...you deserve a gift because I will faint if it's a girl..lol. I am just so set on boy for some reason. Just a feeling I guess...I could be completely wrong though. we'll see!! I'm dying to know!!

I'm sorry about the bedrest. I can't imagine how hard that must be with a little one running around. Thank god for your mom! Hang in there.

Thanks Nicole. If I didn't have Jeremiah, I wouldn't be as stressed. But I have to rely on other people now to take care of him. And yes thank God for my mom!! she is wonderfu!!

Soon there will be a light and no more bedrest, try to relax (easier said then done I know). Sorry you didn't get any good pictures! I didn't get any at mine either (not 1 picture at all).

Lol it's ok I got to see his little face...it look like it was pressed up against a glass window...Poor baby!

awww! poor thing. I didn't get to see the baby's face that clear on u/s...looked like an alien if you ask me. haha. That arm was blocking every good shot we could have possibly gotten. Silly baby!!

I can't believe it either. I'm approaching 30 weeks and for me, it's now getting closer!
