Has anyone introduced baby cereal/food yet? Also how to tell if baby is teething

Just wondering if anyone has introduced any baby cereal/food to their babies yet.  Trinity just seems so hungry these days, today i gave her one teaspoon of baby cereal, it was mixed with formula, her jaws was really moving, i just wanted to see how she would tolerate it.  When do you guys plan on introducing cereal. Her Dr said you can at 4 months at the least but said try to wait until she is 6 months, i was wondering if she sai that bcuz Trinity is chunky or bucz i am breastfeeding.  Its 50/50 with breastfeeding and formula, but if i am off work i try to nurse her the majority of the day.

How to tell if baby is teething?  She is drooling a lot and chewing away at her hand, i take a toothet a rub against her gums and she seems to like that.  Her gums look slightly swollen.

So now I'm confused, and a bit worried, I haven't taken a peek inside of my son's mouth lately, however, he did suck on my finger the other day but I didn't notice anything hard inside there, so I don't think there a any teeth starting to from.  And I didn't get my first tooth until I was over a year old.  So who knows, any who he has been drooling, and sucking more.  He's always been super fussy and for no real reason, but eventually he will start screaming, and there is no real reason that I am finding for it... he is stuffy and he refuses to take his nooks, but LOVES his thumb... any ideas... he'll be three months on the 16th.  And i think that's way too early to beging teething.

Bella is doing the same thing with the drool and her hand! She even gets hickies on her hand and forearm.

I'm also giving breastmilk and formula mixed. I can't keep up with her anymore! She has been sleeping all night and then eating like crazy every hour all day long. It's crazy. I wish she would take more than 15 minute naps, but she's just always so hungry.

For her 4 month appointment the dr asked me to bring in rice cereal because they give it to her then. The 4 month 6 month thing seems to vary depending on who you ask. I gave my son cereal at 3 months and he didn't have any problems. I don't know I think I'll wait until after the appointment on the 16th and see what the dr says.

Look what I found on teething...
•When do babies get teeth? Some babies are born with teeth; others won’t get their first tooth until 18 months.
•Six months is the average age to get a first tooth.
•Early drooling isn’t usually a sign of teething. At around four months, an infant’s saliva increases, but her lip tone is not strong enough to hold it in her mouth.
•Cool, gentle pressure to the gums is the best way to alleviate tooth pain.

Here are the teething symptoms...
•trouble falling asleep
•fussiness
•drooling
•runny nose
•rash around the chin or mouth
•red cheeks
•swollen gums
•biting
•an increased need to suck
•rejection of breast or bottle
•congestion

Good luck!
