First shift at work

Today I went back to work at the hotel. Originally I was only going to be working a 4 hour shift 2 Saturdays a month and if any other 4 hour shift needed covered and I was available I would.

So tonight I was needed and agreed to come in. Kaelynn has been screaming and wont take the bottle. My heart is breaking knowing that my little girl is at home with her dad and he can't get her to settle down. He will have her again tomorrow night for 3 hours and then I have a babysitter set up for the other hour till I get home since BF has to work at 8 and I dont get off till 9.

Unfortunately I don't get breaks that is why I am only working 4 hour shifts. I work front desk at a hotel and I'm the only one here.

BF is really good with her and was finally able to get her to take the bottle and when I got home she was all smiles and giggling with dad.

Tonight I had to get BF's sister to watch her since BF has to work also. She seems to do pretty good with her. I don't know why she will take the bottle from her better than her dad.

Oh Brittny, I am so sorry.  I really feel for you and I hope she is able to eventually settle down.  I am terrified of this exact same thing with Finn - I return to work next week and Finn will not take a bottle.  Can your BF bring her to you so that you can feed her on a quick break?  Maybe he can try to get her to drink from a medicine syringe (that sometimes works with Finn).  How is your BF holding up?  Is he usually good at calming her down - my BF adores Finn and is dedicated to him but is not the most talented at calming him down so I know that will make it harder when I am gone.  Hang in there.
