around 12 months is the normal time for first words, but precocious ones may start around 10 months, especially with a specific "mama" or "dada." She sounds right on target - babbling with lots of nonspecific dada's - Finn is doing the same thing - dadada's and nanana's. He also blows a mean raspberry. I can't believe that we are already talking about potential first words - where did time go? I want time to slow down.
She babbles a lot and especially when she's mad. I kinda figured it was still early and I wont start worrying until she's over a year and not saying any words yet.
Amiah says "dada" but not in reference to my husband, just says it over and over.
Lily makes a "mamama" sound when she's mad. DH swears she's saying mama i think she's just mad.
All of my kids but my first were late talkers. They didn't babble until closer to a year. No developmental issues involved...they just talked late.
Kylie hasn't though she says dadada over and over. I think they generally start speaking similar words by 10 months to a year old.
