Chapped lips?

I've been dealing with congestion using nasal saline and I got a graco electric aspirator which I LOVE. Some night though kaelynn will wake up with chapped lips. I was wondering if it's ok to use chapstick on an infant? And which type if so.

I've been wondering bout this too so lanolin is brilliant! Anna's lips have been getting chapped and occasionally a piece of skin will peel off, she's not bothered by it but I was so I'm glad to know it's common lol.

what about trying some of the lanolin nipple ointment.  It says it can be used for chapped lips (I have used it on my lips and it works better than chapstick).  It must be safe, since you don't have to wash it off before breastfeeding.

maybe a dot of olive oil? if you use chapstick i would just make sure it doesnt have menthol in it, that might freak her out.

I would probably just use an all natural, no additives chapstick...something without flavors, etc.  I've never used it on an infant but I see no harm in using a small thin layer occasionally.
