Nahhh. :) I'm fine with her doing it. Plus it airs her out. After all, those things do get hot and uncomfortable--might as well let her do it when it's still "ok".
I love when you hear babies first words. Kylie's up to 4 words now, it's insane. She can say Mama (mum) Dada (da) Papaw and cat. She LOVES to call everything cat.
That is pretty funny. Finn is too busy trying to turn on the stove burners (yes he can reach them) to pay attention to his diaper. Sounds like Kylie is keeping you just as busy!! Good thing they are so cute, right? Finn just started calling me "mama" a few days ago - it melts my heart each time.
Now is the time when cloth diapering is great because you can use the ones with strong snaps. We use some cloth with Finn.
As Britt said - this is pretty typical baby behavior and not usually associated with readiness to potty train but you can potty train pretty early if you are really dedicated to it. If you really want to stop it, I would get some diaper covers.
I usually let Kylie run around in only a diaper because it's super hot here (we just got over a 115 F heat index wave and it's coming back) and we only have a few air conditioners in the house---I can't WAIT until we can move and have central air again.
i went to get em from a nap one day and she had no diaper on and was soaked...it was awful....at first i thought daddy didnt put the diaper on rigth so i let her pantless and to my surprise i watched her take it off!!
as for potty training i am planning the same tactic with Em that i did with my son....my son was potty trained before 18 months
my grandmother told me that she never used pull ups.....she threw her kids in underwear and let them learn for themselves...i did this with my son and he was potty trained in less than a week....he hated being wet!! i also let him pick out his own underwear and they were sacred to him....it worked like a charm
Kae doesn't run around in just her diaper much. the few times that she has been the past few weeks she has been pulling on her diaper but she hasn't figured out how to take it off.
It's a very common phase for all babies to do this around this age. It doesn't necessarily mean there ready to potty train.
lol no it hasnt happened to us yet but she always has some sort of cover on over them
Or should I take it as a sign to start potty training?
