I've had really bad sinus problems since becoming pregnant congestion and when I blow my nose there is always blood. I have found that running my humidifier while sleeping helps
with the blood and I'm able to breath better while sleeping. The congestion has started to get better this last week I'm now 14 wks so maybe second trimester will bring some relief.
I have something similar - pretty constant congestion and sinus issues, apparently pretty normal in pregnancy as our bodies produce more mucus. Another "joy" of pregnancy, right? What has really helped me is doing regular sinus rinses with a neti pot or Neomed sinus rinse (can get this at any drug store).
YES!!!! I've had a bad cold but the sinus stuff I've had since week 7 . It's getting really old - 7 weeks straight! It sounds like I have allergies. I usually joke that I'm allergic to being pregnant. I do cough from the drainage, which aften causes gagging leading to vomitting so it's been a huge pain! When it's really bad I sometimes take allegy meds, but I had doing that since I have high blood pressure! Good luck!
It's most likely from sinus drainage. Becuase of the increased blood flow a lot of women have major sinus problems during pregnancy. I am one of them. You can talk to your doctor about allergy meds and nasal sprays that may help.
