bloody show or somthing else?

Since last night i have started spotting. I started losing my mucus plug all week but now there is fresh blood. When I use the bathroom it's a bit on the toilet paper, but everything I am ready says that the bloody show is older blood and is with mucus, this is fresh blood. I have been cramping all day off and on, is this just the onset of labor? or should I go to the hospital to make sure nothing is wrong.

haha, I just scrubbed the grout in the kitchen and the house is clean and ready. Now I am talking about going shopping for a few little extra things... All this after two nights in a row of 5 hours of sleep. Hope that means it's my energy boost!

You'll probably get an energy boost when the time is right. I know for me once I start to lose the mucus plug and go from 2-4cm that part happens over a couple of days before the real active labor gets going.

Take good care of yourself and try to get a good nights sleep. It sounds like it may be your last for awhile :-)

The contractions are off and on. They start to get consistent when I am moving a lot but then they go away once I lay down. All last night it was red mucus so I am confident now it was just bloody show and she is getting ready to make her arrival soon. I feel like I have been hit by a bus, no idea where the energy is going to come from when I finally go into labor, but now I think it's kinda neat that I am going to go on my own.

I think your labor may be starting. With my daughter I lost my mucus plug on Friday and had mucus and blood off and on through the weekend and was cramping bad. Monday early morning I work up in actual labor and had her that day. Did you talk to your doctor? Are you having actual contractions?
