Weight Gain

I'm 19 weeks pregnant and still at my pre-pregnancy weight, which is 134 lbs. I'm concerned for the baby even though my dr said he seems fine. Why haven't I gained weight??? Is this safe/normal?

I have gained about 13 lbs in 20 wks. But a friend of mine only gained 12 lbs her whole pregnancy and her baby was just fine. She ate plenty - even ice cream every day - but just did not gain. As long as you are eating well you should be fine. :)

My pre pregnancy weight was 106. I lost 6 pounds in the first trimester and was down to 100. I gained the 6 pounds back plus an additional 5. Im 25 weeks now and I have an appoitnment tomorrow so I will find out how much I weight on their scale. My pre pregnancy weight was 106 though, and my home scale says 115 now at week 25, so thats 9 pounds. I was worried too because I wasnt really gaining, but Ive gained a few pounds each month and the doc isnt worried! Every woman and pregnancy is different. Good luck ladies :) and happy baby!!

I have gained about 13 pound but I'm carrying twins, 20 weeks so far. I started gaining by week 16 though, and I started very small (102 pounds)... you see.... you will grow like crazy very soon everyone.... I remember gaining weight at the end with my daughter. I just hope the twins are born with a decent weight :).

My doc told me not to worry so much about how much you are gaining just as long as you are eating healthy:)

I've actually been losing weight the whole pregnancy and im almost 20 weeks and still slowly dropping. As long as your eating its ok. i was told it will not effect the pregnancy. It's normal for some not to gain til the end and others like me lose for awhile. just depends on the woman i guess. hope this helps.
