Washing baby clothes before they wear them

Do you have to wash all your baby clothes before they wear them along with their bedding. I'm getting mixed answers. Please help!!!

YES! I used to work at a clothing store in the backroom hanging all of the clothes. They all come out of dusty boxes off of a dusty truck by sweaty workers and more sweaty workers in a hot, dusty room hang them. Sometimes the boxes are torn or the clothes fall on the floor. Also, wash the new clothes you wear yourself. I used to not wash my new clothes but after that job I do!

I washed mine too. I used to work in a clothing store, and let me just say, you would be amazed at how gross some people can be when they handle clothes in the store.
Not to mention any dyes or chemicals the clothes may have into contact with either in the factory, in shipping, or in the warehouse.
I wash absolutely everything I buy, lol, whether it's for baby or someone else.

Yes. You don't know where the clothes were made, who touched them, where they were stored, how they were packaged and shipped before you got them.

New clothes may have sweat, dirt, dust, mold, feces (human or animal) on them depending on who handled them. Can you imagine the person who sewed it was in a hot sweaty room and went to the bathroom and didn't wash their hands when they came back. Then made your baby's shirt? How about the clothes sitting in a shipping container or on a warehouse shelf that had rat/mice problems?

I washed all my babies clothes new and the hand-me-downs too...just in case. Babies have delicate and sensitive skin. Keep things that come in contact with them clean.

Yes, it is a must wash everything! I personally hand washed everything with Dreft baby detergent & also ironed all of the clothes to kill any other possible bacteria.

I plan to wash my baby's things..... just because they are new doesn't mean they don't hold germs and other things. Babies clothes are made in a factory just like ours so just imagine the process from factory to store to u.....besides ur baby will have very delicate and sensitive skin why chance it just wash it all to be safe
