But call your insurance. Some I guess allow you to buy them and send you money (after you send receipt). Others send a voucher for them. Mine requires me to get it from medical supplier (like Byram or edgewater). Also, some require like 2 weeks before birth, 1 month or some even after the baby's born. All require a doctors script.
The brand depends on insurance, or in my case what the medical supply people offer. As stated, edgewater offered less choices. I just want to know what brand so I can register for extra parts/bottles.
It's actually the law now! There are some situations that dont.
Google Byram breast pumps. Hit "order form" and pick insurance you have and you'll get a list of one's covered. Edge park so has them too, though for me, they offered less choices.
I didnt know insurance would cover breat pumps either! Do you just call and ask what types yer ins will cover? Fingers crossed cause thats awesone!
So how does this work with insurance covering breast pumps??ive never heard of that?first time i hear it,what do we need to do in order to get a breast pump covered by insurance?
The ameda works just about the same as the medela does.... And I've used both. I can say that I prefer the medela just for the fact that it's a known name, but my insurance didn't cover it so I had to get the ameda. Hope that helps
