not feeling so great about myself

so I'm feeling kinda crappy...im 12 weeks and I keep being told that I shouldn't be showing till like 20 weeks with my first pregnancy, I don't use pregnancy as an excuse to eat. I still eat like I did before, only when I'm hungry and eat what I'm hungry for. Now it's like all eyes are on me and what I eat, so I must be just getting fat. Cause there's no way I should be showing at all. It's makes me feel like I wanna wear a baggy shirt and hide.

I am 12 weeks,  and none of my pants fit anymore... I am definitely beloted since I usually get a round stomach after eating from before,  but now it's definitely bigger! I am eating a lot more  now though than I did from week 6-7... I just hope I can keep it under control (let me know if anyone has any tips)

♡ I know it is hard. I suffer from an eating disorder and i haven't gained any weight but lost some due yo morning sickness. However I have a belly bump! I was so scared that maybe something was wrong because I'm only 9 was eek and was eek as showing around 7. But as said before once I scone thing awesome my ultra sound and heard the heart beat I was like of course I'm getting as belly I have a baby growing inside of me. It's still hard because I don't feel pretty but I know my body is doing something amazing.  Good luck and Congratulations!

I'm 12 weeks too & I can't button any of my dang jeans!! I'm a runner so I still exercise & eat right ( although sweets will be the death of me) don't worry lady.  It's more about taking care of the little one instead of worrying about weight gain.  Save that for afterwards when you need to bounce back :)

I feel you. I'm 12 weeks and definitely bigger than I used to be. I gained a lot of weight in the first trimester and I've been bloated. It's rough because I've always been relatively thin without trying, so now I'm bigger than ever before and not sure how to take it.

You know what helped me? Seeing my baby on the ultrasound recently. He's growing fast, too, and that really helped put things in perspective for me. If I have to look a little chubby so that my kid can grow, I'm ok with that. :)

Stop worrying about what people think. I'm on pregnancy no9,I have two living children. I'm not showing at all at 11weeks but with my 4year old some I ballooned straight away. With my first I was showing at 10 weeks and hadn't gained a pound. Bodies are different. You only need an extra 400 calories a day roughly. Which is a jacket, beans and a bit of cheese as an example. But you should eat little and often so your body can cope with changes. Keep your chin up and celebrate being pregnant. When people say what they are saying, very blutely ask "are you saying I'm fat?" See them squerm :) and I also love it when someone touches my tummy and I tell them I'm fat not pregnant :) winner every time hun. Dont worry be happy x

honestly take it as a compliment.  you will notice women who are overweight or obese before they are pregnant do not show early. If you can see a bump now or you notice it just around your waist it's because you aren't a big girl and pregnancy is causes the changes.

I appreciate the words of encouragement ladies. I'm sure a lot has to do with my random emotional roller-coaster waves but I know I have bloating but I feel like that is part of showing, my husband notices too and says it's definitely bump not just me "eating for 2" which I don't do anyway, I eat when I'm hungry and try to eat healthy while still making the exception for the occasional craving. I've only gained like 2-3 lbs no sickness for me either...I'm just tired of "hearing it" I just want to enjoy the ride.

I'm 12 weeks too, and believe me I am showing. Sure some of it is bloating and water, but I'm in maternity pants already and this is my first. The doctor says I have not gained any weight even though I eat way more than I used to. All of a sudden at 9 weeks, I was starving all the time! I did not have morning sickness at all so my appetite and metabolism have just been on a race. But the belly is there, it's round and cute and I don't care who thinks I'm getting fat it's none of their business I'm doing what's healthy for my baby. You shouldn't let others make you feel bad all that matters is you're health and the baby's. Be happy and embrace all the changes. Also I recommend getting a good pair of maternity jeans, they're made for your changing body and flatter it well plus it's super comfortable!

I think everyone is different and you can be showing by 12 weeks. I'm 13 and have a definite bump that my husband and I can notice. It is just above my pelvis and is quite firm but I have felt and looked bloated for weeks. However I don't think other people would have noticed mine yet unless they know. Don't worry about it. As long as you're eating healthily and keeping active, I don't think you have anything to worry about.

Hey, I'm 10 weeks and going through something similar. People keep telling me I'm at that awkward stage where I don't look pregnant I just look fat. Was really getting me down for a while but then started thinking all women and pregnancies are different. Some people will show sooner than others. My mum said that she got a bump quite quickly so maybe it's genetic too. It'll be worth it in the end! X
