wildland firefighter husband

Does anybody else have a husband that work for forest service or cal fire that goes away for weeks at a time on fires? I'm generally very stressed during the summer and drinking used to be my comfort. How do you deal with it? I'm going to be 6-9 Months.

Thanks ladies. I know them being away for any amount of time is stressful especially right now. I don't thinK it would be as bad if I knew he was safe but he is not and it makes it impossible to sleep sometimes. He sleeps sometimes five hours a night and then goes to fight fire :( its just nerve wracking. Its always good to know that other women are here to support me.

My husband leave every weekend and gone for 4 days out 7 he sells ammunition not a fire fighter but it's a distance thing it's so hard for me because this is my first so I feel lonely all the time and when he gets home all I want to do is act like this clingy wife  that wants to go and do everything with him but I usually clean or watch Netflix or homework for school but it's a challenge

My husband use too work for fire as a volunteer, but now his just sticking to his E.M.T job. He doesn't go away for weeks but for example he did a 24 hour shift n it feels lonely n by the time he comes home I have work, only see each other at lol when we are actually sleeping so we don't really spend time. I usually try to clean, do hw, go to my moms or family members house try to always keep my self busy or else I would go insane.
