I'm 14 weeks and I experience constipation every now and then. I tried to eat things that are high in fiber (ex. Graham crackers) on a daily basis to keep the movement going. Now as for laxatives, I was told by my doctor to not take laxatives and just take a stool softener daily..it seems to be working for me. Talk to your doctor before taking another laxative because the last thing you want is to hurt your baby.

I agree w magnesium that's what I take maybe once a week because I have bad constipation also I don't overdo it though because I don't think you should take anything that makes her stomach cramp from my research. Also every other day I take a good dose of Metamucil

I don't know if they are safe or not,  but maybe check with your doctor to see if you can take magnesium.   It really loosens your stool.
