I'm 32 weeks with my second baby, my daughter and step son are 3 years old. They know I'm having a baby but they don't quite understand the baby is gonna be their little brother..but once he is born they will understand better when the baby comes home with us. My daughter thinks the crib and bassinet are forget baby dolls lol. it's cute

I told my children after my 12 week scan. Bare in mind miscarriages happen and it would be very hard to explain to a child one minute your having a baby and next minute your not. Its not worth the emotional hurt so I would say its always best to wait until the "safe zone"

Depends, how old is your child? With our little girl (turned one in July and we are due in December) I told her before I even told my husband! Granted it was just a few hours but we have talked non stop about the new baby. This way she gets used to the idea of a baby. If they are an only child I think the earlier the better to get used to the idea of someone else coming into the family. Good luck
