At 24 weeks the baby is considered 'viable' and if born the doctors would do everything they could to give it the best chance for survival.

Technically baby can survive outside mom at around 23 weeks, however the likelihood of complications is very high, and the chance of surving for an extended period of time isn't great. After 30 weeks baby's chance of survival increases significantly.
